General Manager – DPC ( Winery)

The General Manager will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all aspects of the winery, with a primary focus on **sales growth, business strategy, and agronomy (vineyard development)**. Requirements
• Sales & Marketing Leadership
– Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies across direct-to-consumer (DTC), wine club, wholesale, and distribution channels to achieve revenue and growth targets
– Analyze sales data to inform channel strategy, pricing, promotions, and customer segmentation
– Lead wine club expansion, customer lifecycle management, and digital marketing initiatives to increase retention and lifetime value
– Optimize tasting room operations and guest experiences to maximize conversion and brand alignment
– Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement annual marketing plans, brand-building initiatives, and consumer engagement activities[3][4].
– Represent the winery at industry events, trade fairs, and with key stakeholders to enhance brand visibility and market presence
• Strategic Planning & Business Development
– Partner with ownership to create and manage strategic plans and budgets focused on sustainable, long-term value creation
– Set short- and long-range growth objectives for the winery and its portfolio, ensuring alignment with market trends and consumer demand
– Drive cross-functional alignment among sales, marketing, winemaking, and operations teams to achieve organizational goals
– Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to inform business strategy and maintain market competitiveness
• Agronomy & Vineyard Development
– Oversee vineyard operations, ensuring the production of high-quality grapes that meet winemaking and commercial requirements
– Collaborate with viticulture and winemaking teams to implement best practices in vineyard management, sustainability, and innovation
– Drive continuous improvement in agronomy, including yield optimization, cost control, and adaptation to environmental challenges
– Ensure the integration of vineyard development into broader business and brand strategies, maximizing the value of estate-grown fruit
• Financial & Operational Management
– Manage profit and loss, cost of goods sold, labor budgets, and operational efficiencies to ensure bottom-line profitability
– Oversee compliance with all legal, regulatory, and reporting requirements relevant to winery and vineyard operations
– Foster a high-performing, inclusive team culture built on the company’s core values and vision
• Key Qualifications:
– Demonstrated experience in wine sales, marketing, and brand management, preferably in premium or luxury segments
– Proven success in strategic planning, financial management, and cross-functional leadership.
– Strong understanding of vineyard operations, agronomy, and the integration of viticulture with commercial objectives
– Analytical skills for interpreting market data and translating insights into actionable business strategies
– Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
